We are proud to be a training practice teaching both third year and fifth year medical students. This may mean that on occasion a student may be present at your appointment. Your consent for them to sit in will be sought prior to the consultation, however if you would prefer for the student not to be present you may request for the student to be withdrawn from the consultation.
Year 3 is predominately clinical with the emphasis on acquiring diagnostic skills and the study of illness in acute medical settings, as well as chronic diseases. In year 5 students undertake an eight-week course called ‘Medicine in the Community’ within General Practice.
